Mareeba Children & Family Community Centre was funded under the “Closing the Gap” initiative by Federal and Queensland Government bodies.  The project feasibility study identified a refurbishment strategy to rejuvenate a tired building ,  a focal place for local community gatherings, a local health service for visiting health and childcare practitioners and various program and services for the local indigenous community.
